THE WIDEST LAGOON IN THE WORLD

Listed in the UNESCO world heritage for its aquatic diversity, it is the perfect place for water-based activities: snorkelling, jetskis, kitesurfing, fishing and sailing.

 

 

LE MERIDIEN ILE DES PINS ISLAND

Le Méridien Ile des Pins is nestled on Oro Bay, a natural lagoon protected by a colorful coral reef. Our resort is in close proximity to the stunning Kuto and Kanumera beaches.
Upi Bay is a spectacular setting, where everyday traditional outrigger canoes transport you through the clear and colorful lagoon. At Oro Bay, a short walk through the forest will allow you to discover a natural pool embedded in the coral. Take your snorkel gear and dive into crystal water to discover a myriad of tropical fishes.
Kanumera Beach with its white sand is perfect to swim with the clown fishes.
Pic N’Gâ reaches 262 meters into the sky. It takes about one hour to reach the top, where you will find one of the most breathtaking views of the island. Do not forget your camera!
Hortense Queen Cave is home to limestone offerings, with a beautiful entrance lined by tree ferns. Legend says it is the place where Kuni Queen hid before relinquishing her throne in 1883.

TERRESTRIAL ACTIVITIES

The territory is gifted with the largest proportion of endemic plants worldwide and with such a diversity of landscapes that it is fantastic to go bike trailing, play golf on one of the three Neo-Caledonian international golf courses, hitchhike, go horse-riding, go canyoning, drive in jeeps on the red soil of the deep south, and enjoy go karting or a helicopter ride over the lagoon. 

 

   

THE BLUE RIVER

Located 60 kilometers away from Noumea, the park of the Blue River is 9 045 hectares wide and is settled in a gorgeous and savage environment where nature is queen. The reservoir Yate and its surroundings, the oak-gum, kaoris of Houps and araucaria, numerous trails, remnants of past mining and forestry, rivers, extraordinary colors and strange vegetation all combine to make the park a place of relaxation outside of the hectic city.

THE FALLS OF THE MADELEINE

Falls of the Madeleine lie at the heart of the reserve of the same name province, in the Plaine des Lacs and near the Parc de la Rivière Bleue. Over the years, the site was developed and plantations have been made. 168 plant species were counted.

THE "GRANDES FOUGERES" PARK

Located on the territories of Moindou, Farino and Sarraméa, 1.30 hour far from Noumea, Park Grandes Fougeres covers an area of 4 535 hectares of rainforest in the southern part of a larger forest. A network of approximately 30 km of trails allows to perform various hikes, some paths are accessible by bike for sport lovers.

THE HISTORIC VILLAGE OF PRONY

Prony is a coastal hamlet situated at the south end of Grande Terre. Take a village tour to the hot springs, situated around the bay.
